Golden Fields Dandelion & Burdock Coffee is a unique coffee substitute made from roasted dandelion and burdock roots. The medicinal properties of burdock root are similar to those of dandelion root. Burdock is diuretic and diaphoretic, it is one of the best blood purifiers and a remedy for all skin diseases including eczema.
Put together, dandelion and burdock reinforce each other’s action, in particular as a liver tonic. Burdock contains its own bitter substance, lappin and is suitable for a diabetic diet.
Dandelion and Burdock are known as common "weeds"; the first small with endless golden flowers, the other tall with huge leaves and hooked burrs, but both with powerful roots reaching deep down to draw nourishment from the earth. Their roots are dug in autumn, dried and roasted.
Dandelion and Burdock makes a light coffee alternative with a distinctive spicy burdock flavour. It is naturally caffeine-free.
Ingredients
Organic dandelion root (taraxacum officinale), organic burdock root (arctium lappa), both grown in New Zealand
Direction
Use sachets like teabags. Infuse 5 minutes and stir. For best results, heat cup first, use boiling water and cover. Alternatively, steep one or two sachets in a 2 - cup flask.
Storage
Contents are protected by an oxygen - absorbing sachet. After opening dispose of it , store sachets in air - tight jar.
