With the shorter daylight hours of winter, now is a great time to take stock and nurture & nourish yourself. Many of us try and do too much when the days are longer. Planning not to do too much in a day is great self care! Our nervous systems were never designed to run at 110%, 100% of the time. So …… what would a nervous system de-clutter look like?
Mindful meditation: We have some lovely essential oils to set the mood like Absolute Essentials Tranquility or Stress Less.
Yoga: There are a number of classes about, and Jo's favourite is Yin with Stella Yoga or Ana at House of Yoga. There are also some classes available free on line which you can follow in the comfort of your own home eg. Yoga with Adriene. There are also classes on line which you will need to pay for eg. Yoga Glo and Gaia.
Exercise: A walk on the beach or in a park is a great way to release those feel good hormones and get your daily dose of Vitamin D.
Practice Enlightened selfishness: To be at your best you need some “me” time. Schedule it into your day, even 20 minutes is better than not at all when you do something that makes you feel happy.
Nourish your Body: On these chillier days set yourself up with a delicious hot cup of bone broth. We have a wide range available to choose from. Add some fresh veggies to it to make a tasty soup (see this month’s recipe). It is good for your immunity, gut and joints.
